Casa El Destino is one of the most beautiful houses in Trinidad, offering luxury and comfort, in the heart of Trinidad. It’s a historic house which has been completely updated with modern conveniences.

The house is huge. There are 4, air-conditioned bedrooms for rent, each with two double beds and en-suite, private bathrooms. Each bedroom has a maximum capacity of 4 people.

There are huge open areas in the inner courtyard where coffee dries and flowers grow. You can enjoy an outdoor breakfast or supper on the terrace as you overlook the picturesque town, surrounded by mountains. It’s a wonderful place.

I like urban exploration, so I was happy to learn about the “hidden” places to explore in Havana. I loved walking inside the abandoned buildings. No other guides explain how to do this. If you actually want to explore Cuba on your own, and learn about Cuban life, you need this guide. Books from Globe Trekker, Lonely Planet and Rough Guide are pathetic in comparison.

The listings for the cheap casas particulares is awesome. I rented a large, private apartment, and it cost only $25 per night. I booked online and saved more than $10 per night. I avoided the hidden brokerage charges that other websites charge. Anyway, I saved a lot of money on a 10 day stay. Well worth the price of buying this book.
