Fast Food In Cuba
El Rapido, it’s the largest and most popular fast food chain in Cuba. It’s state run and the food it serves is basically equivalent to most standard American fast food fare. Hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, soft drinks. The quality is good and the service is fast. Best of all, you can usually even get a beer to go along with your meal. And some of these locations even have full service. Waiters come to your table and take your order. prices are in CUC, so they are a bit more expensive than some street-side chiringos, but hey, they are also open 24/7 (usually) so that’s really convenient. This one is located in Vedado, in the Carlos Tercero shopping center.
The quality of El Rapido is rubbish.
Some places are ok, some places suck. The Rapidos in Havana, in my experience are usually not bad. The ones in some dead end Cuban towns are rather poor.
