Casa Particular Miriam has two large, independent, first floor rooms for rent. Each room spans about 200 sq.ft and is modernly decorated with ample sunlight. Both rooms have a queen bed as well as a single bed. This makes it great for families traveling together, or if you plan on having guests. Each room has its own independent entrance and guests are provided there own set of keys so they can enter and leave as they wish, in complete privacy.

The rooms can be rented together or completely separately. Meals are available and guests also have access to the shared kitchen area. Each room also has access to a large, private terrace and yard. A carport is also available for guest use. Miriam lives in an isolated part of the house.

I like urban exploration, so I was happy to learn about the “hidden” places to explore in Havana. I loved walking inside the abandoned buildings. No other guides explain how to do this. If you actually want to explore Cuba on your own, and learn about Cuban life, you need this guide. Books from Globe Trekker, Lonely Planet and Rough Guide are pathetic in comparison.

The listings for the cheap casas particulares is awesome. I rented a large, private apartment, and it cost only $25 per night. I booked online and saved more than $10 per night. I avoided the hidden brokerage charges that other websites charge. Anyway, I saved a lot of money on a 10 day stay. Well worth the price of buying this book.
