The Cinema Yara is One of The Largest and Best Theaters in Havana

Ah, the famous Cinema Yara, located at the corner of L and 23 street, in Vedado. It’s one of the largest cinemas in the city, and it’s air conditioned, so you can imagine that it’s really popular, especially when it’s hot outside. The price to see most movies is only 2 pesos (Moneda Nacional).

In front of the Cinema Yara is also a popular meeting place for friends to gather and plan their evening. It’s at the corner of some major bus and taxi routes, so, generally, if you are planning to meet somebody in Vedado, it very common just to meet them in front of the Yara.
