Two Private Bedrooms for Rent in Central Havana

Casa Particular El Mirador is located in Central Havana, within 10 minutes walking distance to Old Havana and about 10 minutes walking to Vedado. It is close to the Carlos Tercero shopping center and the Chinatown district.

Casa El Mirador offers two large rooms for rent. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and refrigerator. There is also a telephone for guests to use. One bedroom has a queen bed. The other bedroom has a queen bed as well as an extra single bed, which is great for children. At the front of the casa there is a large terrace which offers fantastic city views. There is also a living room and well equipped kitchen.

The casa offers a lot of privacy to the tenants, but the landlords are available to give directions or to help in any way possible.

Breakfast is also available for 4cuc per person. It includes coffee or juice, eggs, bread and fruit.

I like urban exploration, so I was happy to learn about the “hidden” places to explore in Havana. I loved walking inside the abandoned buildings. No other guides explain how to do this. If you actually want to explore Cuba on your own, and learn about Cuban life, you need this guide. Books from Globe Trekker, Lonely Planet and Rough Guide are pathetic in comparison.

The listings for the cheap casas particulares is awesome. I rented a large, private apartment, and it cost only $25 per night. I booked online and saved more than $10 per night. I avoided the hidden brokerage charges that other websites charge. Anyway, I saved a lot of money on a 10 day stay. Well worth the price of buying this book.
