Independent Rooms in the Vinales Valley

Casa particular El Porry is located just beside the Vinales Valley. In front of the casa is a large farm which marks the entrance to the valley. The casa offers an amazing view of the valley and the fields which surround it.

There are 3 independent rooms for rent. The guests receive the keys and can come and go as they want, in privacy. 1 room has 2 queen beds (Total Capacity for 4 adults), the other rooms have a queen bed and a single bed (3 adults capacity). There is air conditioning, and an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water in each room.

Outside the casa there is a large terrace with an outdoor dining and relaxation area. There is also a sprawling rooftop area offering unobstructed views of the valley. Home-cooked meals of traditional Cuban cuisine are also available.

This casa operates with 2 other neighbors, located just beside, with similar rooms and amenities. As such, large groups can easily be accommodated.

I like urban exploration, so I was happy to learn about the “hidden” places to explore in Havana. I loved walking inside the abandoned buildings. No other guides explain how to do this. If you actually want to explore Cuba on your own, and learn about Cuban life, you need this guide. Books from Globe Trekker, Lonely Planet and Rough Guide are pathetic in comparison.

The listings for the cheap casas particulares is awesome. I rented a large, private apartment, and it cost only $25 per night. I booked online and saved more than $10 per night. I avoided the hidden brokerage charges that other websites charge. Anyway, I saved a lot of money on a 10 day stay. Well worth the price of buying this book.
