Casa Particular Julia is located in Nuevo Vedado, just 5 minutes walking distance to the famous Tulipan Market. It is 5 minutes walking distance to the Havana Zoo and Viazul bus terminal. Just 10 minutes walking to the Plaza de la Revolucion.

There are 3 bedrooms located inside this independent house. Each bedroom has air conditioning.

The first bedroom has 1 queen bed.
The second bedroom has two single beds which can be pushed together to form a king.
The third bedroom has 1 queen bed.

On the second level of the house there is 1 large bathroom for all the bedrooms to share. On the first level of the house there is a powder room (photo not shown).

You get complete use of the whole house (2 floors). The landlord, Julia, lives at the back of the house and gives her guests complete privacy, but is available to answer questions.

The house has a large garden area and is on a very quiet residential street.

I like urban exploration, so I was happy to learn about the “hidden” places to explore in Havana. I loved walking inside the abandoned buildings. No other guides explain how to do this. If you actually want to explore Cuba on your own, and learn about Cuban life, you need this guide. Books from Globe Trekker, Lonely Planet and Rough Guide are pathetic in comparison.

The listings for the cheap casas particulares is awesome. I rented a large, private apartment, and it cost only $25 per night. I booked online and saved more than $10 per night. I avoided the hidden brokerage charges that other websites charge. Anyway, I saved a lot of money on a 10 day stay. Well worth the price of buying this book.
