3 Large Rooms in a Classic Trinidad House

Casa La Candelaria is a casa particular in Trinidad, located in the historic center of the city. The house was built in 1710. It has been renovated to offer modern conveniences, while retaining the old world charm.

There are three air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms and refrigerators. Also the house has a beautiful courtyard.

Room #1 has a double bed and a single bed, a private bathroom and windows that overlook the yard.
Room #2 has two double beds, a single bed and a private bathroom and windows that overlook the yard.
Room #3 has one double bed and private bathroom with windows to the courtyard.

Guests are welcome to relax in the courtyard, and enjoy home cooked breakfast and dinner. There is also a lovely rooftop terrace where guests can sunbathe and eat/drink outside. Beautiful views of the mountains and the city!

I like urban exploration, so I was happy to learn about the “hidden” places to explore in Havana. I loved walking inside the abandoned buildings. No other guides explain how to do this. If you actually want to explore Cuba on your own, and learn about Cuban life, you need this guide. Books from Globe Trekker, Lonely Planet and Rough Guide are pathetic in comparison.

The listings for the cheap casas particulares is awesome. I rented a large, private apartment, and it cost only $25 per night. I booked online and saved more than $10 per night. I avoided the hidden brokerage charges that other websites charge. Anyway, I saved a lot of money on a 10 day stay. Well worth the price of buying this book.
