Casa Particular Sixto y Maria is located in downtown Vedado, about 1 minutes walking to La Rampa Street and 5 minutes walking to the Habana Libre Hotel. The Havana malecon is just down the road, about 10 minutes away. The apartment is located on the second floor of a small condo complex. Guests receive the keys and can come and go as they want.

There are 3 bedrooms in the apartment.

Bedroom 1 – Large bedroom (queen bed) as well as a living room, and modern bathroom. There is a modern air conditioner as well. (Capacity 2 people)
Bedroom 2 – There is a queen bed and a smaller, single bed in the bedroom. Total capacity for up to 3 people. There is a modern bathroom and air conditioner as well.
Bedroom 3 – A queen bed in a large room. There is a modern bathroom and air conditioner as well.
There are other bedrooms available in an adjoining apartment. Total capacity for this casa of up to 15+ people.

The apartment has a full kitchen and a washing machine. There is a large living area too.

Breakfast is also offered for 5cuc per person.

Located on Calle F, between 25 and 27, Vedado, Havana

Price: 35CUC per night, per room. Price negotiable if you take all 3 bedrooms.

I like urban exploration, so I was happy to learn about the “hidden” places to explore in Havana. I loved walking inside the abandoned buildings. No other guides explain how to do this. If you actually want to explore Cuba on your own, and learn about Cuban life, you need this guide. Books from Globe Trekker, Lonely Planet and Rough Guide are pathetic in comparison.

The listings for the cheap casas particulares is awesome. I rented a large, private apartment, and it cost only $25 per night. I booked online and saved more than $10 per night. I avoided the hidden brokerage charges that other websites charge. Anyway, I saved a lot of money on a 10 day stay. Well worth the price of buying this book.
