If you buy things in any state store, you will have to use a credit card. (USA based cards still don’t work).
For buying things in the street, you can use foreign currencies, or the moneda nacional.
There has been a lot of inflation, so for most things priced in MN, factor that now the price is about 10x what is written on this website.
The current street exchange rate for USD to MN is 1 USD= 180MN. But if you exchange USD in a state bank, they still give you only 25 MN.
