There are 2 bedrooms in the apartment. Both bedrooms each have a queen bed and a modern, silent air conditioner.

The apartment is completely independent. Guests receive the keys and can come and go in complete privacy. There is a large, modern bathroom as well as a large living room, dining area, a full kitchen and a beautiful sunny terrace

It is the perfect place for a family or 2 couples to share. The landlord, Gustavo, is a charming family man who lives in the neighborhood. He is always available to answer questions, but offers his guests complete privacy.

The landlord also rents 2 other apartments located within a few blocks. These can be rented all together if you are traveling as a large group.

I like urban exploration, so I was happy to learn about the “hidden” places to explore in Havana. I loved walking inside the abandoned buildings. No other guides explain how to do this. If you actually want to explore Cuba on your own, and learn about Cuban life, you need this guide. Books from Globe Trekker, Lonely Planet and Rough Guide are pathetic in comparison.

The listings for the cheap casas particulares is awesome. I rented a large, private apartment, and it cost only $25 per night. I booked online and saved more than $10 per night. I avoided the hidden brokerage charges that other websites charge. Anyway, I saved a lot of money on a 10 day stay. Well worth the price of buying this book.
